CNY Eat Play Sleep

Chinese New Year, a festive season to celebrate by all Chinese. It feels great to have a long holiday and eat, play, sleep as much as you like. Hehe...  It is also the time to go around visiting relatives and collect Ang pows.

Ang pows photo from friend

Ang pows are monetary gift which are given during Chinese New Year. I believe they symbolizes for luck and prosperity. As year goes by, ang pow collection are getting lesser.
And the usual "When are you getting married?" questions will popped up by relatives
Mmm... usual answer will be:
  • Wait till I am ready
  • Haven found the right one
  • Let other cousin goes first
It's the 3rd day of CNY and some may have already started working. As for me, I'm taking another 2 days off for me to eat eat play play and sleep sleep.
I just got back from Queensbay watching "Journey 2" in 3D. It's a story about an adventure of finding the mysterious island and his grandfather. Overall, I love the 3D effect and it's adventure. Hehehe...

I'm going off to another CNY gathering soon. Wish I had more time to go around visiting all my friends and family.

Adios, love you all. ^_^

I'm getting chubbier nowadays... need a diet plan after CNY =P

2nd week - Tang Yuen week

Second week, blood donation to save life. Followed my friend to Hui Yin Seh Air Itam centre to donate blood. My blood type is B+, it's be positive. Haha...

This week is a fat fat week. Had 4 servings this week. I love tang yuen, its really yummy. Can't resist but the mind keep on sending signals of yummy yummy rice balls to the brain.
One of the shop is Sugar Dynasty: http://www.sugardynasty.com/.
My sister bought the coupon for Buy 1 Free 1 Glutinous Rice Ball for RM4.20. They had a lot of different taste flavour paste inside the big glutinous rice ball (cheese, chocolate, peanut, sesame, etc).

The one that has been my favourite is Tang Yuen stall opposite Traders Hotel: http://penang-tangyen.blogspot.com/. The price starts from RM2.20 (small) - RM5.50 (large). They usually open from 7-12am.

Our team had "Siu Kang Jiu" at Bukit Genting, Penang and also celebrate farewell for one of our colleague. "Siu Kang Jiu" is done annually to celebrate the closing dinner and acknowledge all our hardwork before the coming of CNY. In Hokkien dialect, it means "Closing of Work". The restaurant @ Bukit Genting are famous for Thai food and you can enjoy nice scenery view from the restaurant there. As I'm sick, I need to control on the food intake and didn't really take spicy food, although I love tomyam a lot.

View from Bukit Genting
One more week and it's going to be Chinese New Year. Last minute shopping to welcome the new year.
It's time to get ang pow again. Mmmm, hoping to escape the "usual" question by the relatives... hahaha...
